Cadmium is a widespread pollutant in the environment and is not biodegradable and accumulates in the body. The search for new potential biological antagonists among trace elements that can reduce or eliminate the toxic effect of cadmium compounds on embryogenesis, development and functional state of the organism will allow creating a theoretical basis for the development of bioantagonists of cadmium toxicity. The purpose of the experiment was to determine the degree of accumulation of cadmium, zinc, and copper in the kidneys and blood of adult females and in rat embryos with isolated intragastric administration of cadmium chloride and with combined administration of cadmium with zinc or copper succinates in a chronic experiment on pregnant female rats. The study was conducted on pregnant female rats. Experimental groups: first – control; the second – isolated introduction of cadmium chloride in a dose of 2.0 mg/kg; the third – combined administration of cadmium chloride and zinc succinate in a dose of 5 mg/kg; the fourth – combined administration of cadmium chloride and copper succinate in a dose of 0.1 mg/kg. The influence of the studied factors on female rats was carried out by daily administration of the studied substances intragastrically from the 1st to the 19th day of pregnancy. Determination of the degree of accumulation of cadmium, zinc and copper was carried out using polyelement analysis. The level of cadmium accumulation in the kidneys and blood of female rats of all experimental groups was higher than the control indicators. The highest level of cadmium accumulation by the kidneys was determined in the group of the combination of cadmium chloride with copper succinate. The obtained data indicate the activation of cadmium binding by the kidneys, which is confirmed by the decrease in the level of cadmium accumulation by the embryo. Analysis of the dynamics of changes in the accumulation of copper and zinc in the kidneys of pregnant females showed that the isolated administration of cadmium chloride unreliably reduces the level of zinc. In the group of combined exposure to cadmium and copper, the level of zinc accumulation was reduced relative to the control, and the level of copper was doubled. Thus, the use of polyelement analysis demonstrated a decrease in the level of cadmium accumulation in the embryos of experimental animals of the groups of combined administration compared to the group of isolated exposure.
