Post-traumatic stress disorder is one of the most serious mental disorders that arise in response to situations that threaten their lives or the lives of loved ones, and the adaptation of servicemen who have returned from “hot spots” to a peaceful life is complicated by numerous socio-psychological problems. in the organization of rehabilitation work. The aim of this study was to find out the attitude of health care organizers to the system of rehabilitation of antiterrorist operation participants, which exists in practice today. Materials and methods. The study was conducted using the focus group method. The interview was attended by 25 health care organizers (including 3 chief doctors of military hospitals and their deputies, 3 doctors of the hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who work directly with veterans) who were cadets of the cycle of thematic improvement at the Department of Social Medicine, Public Health, Organization and Economics of Health Care with medical and labor examination of Poltava State Medical University. Results. As can be seen from the focus study, the advantages of the existing system of rehabilitation of ATO participants are its free nature, the possibility of self-application for rehabilitation assistance, a high level of coverage of servicemen with medical care. The main shortcomings of the existing system, experts noted the lack of primary health care in an outpatient setting, subordinated to the Armed Forces, the lack of a guaranteed package for the provision of medical rehabilitation services to victims of armed conflict, lack of the necessary regulatory framework, weak intersectoral cooperation between public and private providers of social and psychological services, a complex mechanism of intersectoral cooperation, insufficient level of professional qualification of specialists and limited resources, insufficient network of hospitals for veterans. Conclusions: The identified advantages and disadvantages make it possible to conduct a factor analysis to create an evidence base for the rehabilitation system of ATO participants.
