The solution to the current problem of sexual dysfunction in men is the study and implementation of new drug compositions The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of vitamin D3 co-administration with Tribestan in correcting sexual behavior disorders in male rats caused by experimental gonadopathy. The study was performed on sexually active seven-month-old males of the Wistar population weighing 250–300 g. Simulations of rat gonadopathy were performed by injection of Serotonin hydrochloride once daily subcutaneously for 14 days at a dose of 3.3 mg / kg. Tribestan was administered per os at a dose of 68 mg/kg body weight three days before serotonin hydrochloride administration, serotonin administration (14 days), and three days after the last serotonin injection. Vitamin D3 was given in a volume of 0.5 ml at a dose of 4000 IU (per os). Sexual behavior was studied at the end of serotonin injections when mating with an ovariectomized receptive female for 15 minutes at dusk in quantitative and temporal indices of intercourse, intromia, and ejaculation. It has been shown that in male rats experimental serotonin damage to the testes resulted in suppression of sexual behavior with the development of erectile dysfunction. Correction of sexual behavior of males with serotonin testicular lesions with vitamin D3 or Tribestan affected the peripheral mechanism of regulation, which was reflected in an increase in the proportion of rats capable of mating and an increase in the number of intrusions during the test. Correction of simulated serotonin gonadopathy in males by combined use of vitamin D 3 with Tribestan leads to restoration of mating ability, improvement of mating initiation and ejaculatory threshold. Influence is reflected in the elements of sexual behavior that are regulated at both the central and peripheral levels.
