Studying the mechanisms of local nasal mucus immunity, which are primarily included in the protection of the body from various nasal antigenic influences, will not only more fully reflect the pathogenesis of diseases, but also develop rational methods of therapy and prevention using the example of a complex gel of local action “Imbirol” containing a complex of essential oils (ginger, muskad salad, marjoram and tea tree). The purpose of the work was to investigate immunological resistance in the conditions of experimental rhinitis and its pharmacological correction on the basis of the Central Research Laboratory of the NFaU. The research was conducted on the model of acute inflammation of the nasal cavity caused by caustic soda and infected with S. aureus. Experimental groups were treated for 14 days in a row with the gel “Imbirol” and “Pinosol”. The immunological parameters were determined in the blood: the activity of natural killer cells, the heterophilic agglutinins and hemolysins. The study of local nasal mucosal immunity and humoral innate immunity according to blood parameters in rats with chemical and bacterial rhinitis has been shown to modify the immunological parameters that indicate the suppression of both cellular and humoral factors. For a self-renewal of the function of the nasal mucosa requires a longer time. At the same time, the use of the gel “Imbirol” and the “Pinosol” contributed to the activation of the immunological protection of the organism of animals, as evidenced by the normalization of indicators of humoral protection (natural antibodies in the blood serum) and the activity of natural killer cells. Simulation of chemical and bacterial rhinitis in rats significantly reduced the state of immunological resistance in the conditions of experimental acute rhinitis at the system level by reducing NK in chemical rhinitis by 19.6% and by bacterial reduction of hemolysins by 32% by 24% and by 21,7%, respectively, even on the 14th day of the experiment. The use of the gel “Imbirol” in chemical and bacterial rhinitis reliably led to the restoration of indicators of impaired immunological resistance at the system level by increasing the concentration of NK, hemolysins, heterophilic agglutinins. The effectiveness of the new gel “Imbirol” has a more positive dynamics of the restoration of an impaired state of immunological resistance in serum in the development of experimental rhinitis and does not significantly differ from the indicators of the “Pinosol”. The obtained results allow to continue the study of the course of experimental rhinitis, the mechanisms of protection and restoration of tissues under the conditions of pharmacological influence of the experimental gel “Imbirol”.
