Annotation:

The article provides basic information about the use of educational videos and video clips in the pedagogical process at the department of operative surgery and clinical anatomy significantly affects the effectiveness of training. The purpose of research – to investigate the effectiveness of the use of educational videos and video clips in the pedagogical process at the department of operative surgery and clinical anatomy. Methods and Material. The effectiveness of the use of educational videos and video fragments in preparation for practical classes in clinical anatomy and operative surgery of 2nd and 3rd year students of the Faculty of Medicine, as well as the impact of the method on the discipline are analyzed. 196 students, which were divided into 2 groups, accepted in the pedagogical experiment. The 1st group included those students who used videos and video clips in preparation for practical or final classes, and the 2nd group included students who did use them rarely. Results and Discussion. It was found that the average score of students who used these educational videos and video clips in preparation for practical classes and tests increased by an average of 0.5, were significantly dominated by excellent and good marks. The percentage of excellent grades in students who systematically and regularly used videos and video clips in preparation for practical and final classes was equal to (34.70±0.19)%, and in the 2nd group – (18.40±0,15)%. Good grades in the 1st group of observations were 11.2 % (p<0.001) more compared to the 2nd group. Satisfactory grades were higher by 18.4 % (p<0.001) in the 2nd group of students, they were also dominated by negative grades. These indicators show that the success of students who regularly and systematically used videos and video clips in preparation for practical and final classes was much better. The obtained results of the research and questionnaires of students show that videos and video clips help to increase students’ learning and professional interest in screened classes, significantly improve their success and efficiency of mastering the presented material.
