Chronic vein diseases of the lower extremity is an extremely urgent medical and social problem. They are widespread among the working population and worsen the quality of life of patients. Today, there are traditional and minimally invasive methods for treating this disease, and in recent years a new opportunity has appeared for treating varicose veins – radiofrequency ablation, which has a less common effect on perivascular tissues, leads to less traumatization and reduction of pain. The aim of the study is to analyze the effectiveness of the combined method of surgical treatment of chronic venous diseases and improve the results of treatment of surgical patients. For the study, we analyzed the results of treatment of 42 patients with lower limb varicose veins. In the control group, consisting of 22 patients, open surgical interventions were performed. In the study group, there were 20 patients in whom the operation of choice was radiofrequency ablation using the Belgian-made EVRF (Endo Venous Radio Frequency) apparatus in combination with miniphlebectomy and sclerotization. The following data were obtained in the study group: the duration of the pain syndrome was noted for no more than 1 day. There were no secretions from sections of cuts and punctures. Activation of all patients took place on day 1. Patients were discharged from the hospital one day after surgery with the continuation of outpatient conservative therapy with anticoagulants. At sonographic monitoring of the state of the venous system in the postoperative period in the period up to 1 month, blood flow was not recorded in the trunk of large or small subcutaneous veins. Clinical manifestations of recurrence of varicose disease іn a period of 6 months of observation was not observed. Analyzing the data, we can argue that the combined method using radiofrequency ablation is effective in the treatment of varicose veins. Using the proposed method contributed to the reduction of pain, reduction of edema, early activation of the patient and discharge from the hospital. There was also no need to perform dressings in the postoperative period. Another advantage of this method is the presence of a cosmetic effect that affects the comfort of patients and improves their quality of life.
