The work is devoted to the analysis of prevalence diseases of the nervous system in patients with terminal chronic renal failure being treated by software hemodialysis and the study of the relationship of their occurrence in connection with conducting sessions of software hemodialysis. The article presents a review of the literature and the results of analysis of case histories and outpatient records of 70 patients on renal replacement therapy using the bicarbonate program hemodialysis with a diagnosis of Chronic renal failure V degree in the hemodialysis unit No. 1 of the Nephrology and Dialysis Center “PA PRCH named of M.V. Sklifosovsky”. Analyzed clinical, laboratory and instrumental aspects of the clinical evaluation of the patients of the study group. The general state of cognitive functions was assessed by the MMSE scale, the presence of depressive disorders – by the Beck scale. For the assessment of drowsiness, the questionnaire of daytime sleepiness of Epworth was used. The vegetative status of the patients was determined using a questionnaire questionnaire (test by AN Wayne). It is shown that during the sessions hemodialysis in 78% of patients with chronic renal failure complications of the nervous system were identified. This may indicate, on the one hand, that neurological disorders that have arisen in patients of this category are not timely diagnosed in the predialysis period and, on the other hand, that long-term hemodialysis sessions can also generate a number of specific neurological complications. The analysis of the prevalence of chronic kidney disease and its morbidity in Ukraine, the activity of the hemodialysis unit No. 1 of the Nephrology and Dialysis Center means – to increase the number of complications, including neurological.Knowledge of the mechanisms of complications development in patients with chronic disease will speed up and improve the process of diagnostic search with the subsequent development of individual approaches to the correction of risk factors at an early stage of chronic kidney disease, timely detection of existing changes and conditions for the treatment and prevention of life-threatening complications. In connection with the urgency of the problem, there is a need for close cooperation of family doctors, nephrologists and neuropathologists with the aim of timely diagnosis, treatment and prevention of these complications, since the timely treatment of chronic kidney diseases helps prevent the progression of the underlying disorder, slows the development of renal failure and thereby prevents the development of complications from both the underlying disease and the complications from conducting the hemodialysis procedure itself.
