Multidisciplinarity concept underlies interdisciplinary integration. Multidisciplinarity involves the interaction between two or more different disciplines. Interdisciplinary integration based on the interaction between theoretical and clinical disciplines, it involves exchange of ideas and combines individual concepts, technologies and scientific data, the purpose and objectives of which are agreed in a single educational process. The content of each discipline is a part of the subject reflection of the phenomenon or process and provides for their integration into the overall picture of future professional activity. Medical biology studied by students of Poltava State Medical University in the first year of education. Medical biology plays an important role in studying of theoretical and specialized clinical disciplines, as well as for medical education in general. It is closely related to the disciplines studied at the theoretical departments by «vertical» integration links (histology, cytology and embryology, Latin, microbiology, bioorganic chemistry, physiology) and lays the foundation for further acquisition of knowledges and skills by clinical education disciplines (pediatrics, clinical genetics and immunology, infectious diseases, etc.). Undoubtedly, medical biology, along with other theoretical disciplines, plays a significant role in mastering of the subjects studied in the senior courses of medical universities, forming close integrationties with them. In the modern educational space using of an interdisciplinary approach to higher medical education is transformed into a holistic educational process that has a common structure and performs a single function, combining the study of theoretical and professional disciplines. The effective implementation of interdisciplinary integration is facilitated by using of information and communication technologies in education. The most important is the well-developed material and technical base of institution, the high level of teaching staff professionalism.
