Abstract. Modern development of information technologies encourages the receipt of educational services in the format of distance learning. The COVID-19 pandemic forced higher education institutions in many countries, including Ukraine, to actively and quickly implement distance education in quarantine, which required a flexible restructuring of the educational process. This work is devoted to the analysis of the results of an anonymous survey of students regarding their attitude to distance learning in quarantine. The survey was conducted on the basis of a specially designed questionnaire. The questionnaire was used to determine what students consider the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning, which disciplines were the most difficult to study during quarantine, which requirements students make for theoretical and demonstration materials, which information platforms and services they choose to receive quality education. The results of this study made it possible to draw some conclusions. Thus, most of the surveyed students positively assessed the organization and teaching and methodological support of distance learning in our institution and identified it as the main source of educational information. At the same time, students prefer distance learning using the ZOOM platform and the Google Classroom service. Among the advantages of distance learning, most respondents noted the ability to regulate their own workload and the presence of prerequisites for the development of personal initiative. The disadvantages of distance learning students are the lack of personal contact with the teacher, insufficient communication with classmates and excessive workload. As suggestions for improving distance learning, students often offer to include more presentations, diagrams, tables in educational materials and, if possible, place all disciplines on one information platform. Distance learning is a promising form of organization of the educational process, in which the student is an active subject of learning, which contributes to his independence and increase learning motivation. The duty of scientific and pedagogical workers is to work on creating conditions for self-realization of students in educational activities.
